The pendant is named after one of the three main elements that form the granite mica; quartz and feldspar. The 350 in its name represents the diameter of the conical base. Its a modern take on the classic industrial lamp design; using contrasting materials to create a design that is both strong and delicate. The speckled granite of the shade is put through two different turning machines to create a weighty yet slender cone-like shape. The process is completed by hand and creates a robust appearance due to the rigidity of the granite; but also a sense of fragility due to the pendants slim form. Each shade takes about five hours to make.
